Something New, #13 & 14

My Something New is over two days, because that's how long it took.

I started a new sewing project, and instead of rushing to get it done in one day, took my time and did it over two. Usually, I feel like I have to get it done "right then" or else I'll never finish, but I slowed down, and of course, had much better results. I even basted where the directions said to, instead of pinning, and lo and behold, my project turned out much better. Guess I really should have been following the directions for the last 30 years.

I even got over my fear of zippers and put in an inside zippered pocket.

My sister-in-law makes the best handbags and totes, but this one turned out pretty good, if I say so myself.

I also ate at the new Taco Bueno today for Mother's Day. Mmmmm... Happy Mother's Day to Me!
